The Wormwood Scrubs were formed in 2007 of Steve and Shaun Foy, both originally hailing from Liverpool, Jay Dawe and Brandon Sanders with the concise purpose of reviving the Golden Age of Rock during the 60's and 70's in their own image. Taking their name from the 1978 song "Down in the Tube Station at Midnight" by The Jam, which references the historic London prison that has held the likes of Keith Richards and Pete Doherty, The Wormwood Scrubs deftly fuse Mod, Brit-pop, Punk, Grunge, and Psychedelic Rock into their own unique sound. But don't be fooled, the end product is explicitly Rock n' Roll, and the follow-up to their 2010 debut album promises to be their most aggressive, visceral, and volatile yet.
