Whoever said, “good things come in small packages”, wasn’t talking about Siri. In her case, greatness comes in a small package. This pint-sized stunner delivers big when it comes to singing with soul. Inspired by artists who sing with heart and soul, she has been compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse, Lauren Hill, Joss Stone, and Adele.
Growing up in Victoria, on Vancouver Island, Siri remembers listening to jazz, big band and blues with her grandmother, who was a singer. Then, she’d run off and listen to classic rock with her father, who was a guitarist. She trained classically as a soprano, pursuing jazz and musical theater while she performed around Victoria at festivals and competitions. After graduating from the Canadian College of Performing Arts, where she focused on singing, acting and play writing, Siri headed across the water to the mainland to pursue her career. She has been bringing her particular brand of sass to the stages around Vancouver ever since.
Back in class, Siri is currently studying at the University of British Columbia where she was recently chosen out of thousands as a finalist at UBC's Got Talent. The highlight for her was performing to a packed house at the Chan Center. Small package? The whole package! Some artists are made to be stars. Siri was born to be a star!
