The Beautiful British started recording original arena-rock/power-pop songs as a duo in 2004; consisting of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Andrew Fuller and Drummer Chris Warunki. In 2005 they decided to make their debut at an outdoor cancer benefit show. Shortly after the gig, The Beautiful British took an involuntary hiatus due to Chris and Andrew's active careers as session musicians (as a rhythm section they are know as "The VRS": The Vancouver Rhythm section) performing and touring with an array of artists such as Danny Echo, Big John Bates, The February March, The Capitals, Star Collector and Canadian Idol Finalist Jaydee Bixby. Bixby kept the duo busy as they relentlessly toured the nation playing some of the biggest venues (Commonwealth Stadium) and sharing the stage with Superstars such as Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney. On a break from their hectic touring schedules they vowed to get back on track with their original project; The Beautiful British. They put together a stellar backing band (including members of Floodlight and Beyond The Fall) and on January 8th, 2010, opened for The Yoko Casionos (also recently reformed). In spring of 2010 they entered the studio to put some finishing touches on their upcoming single "Vancouver": a rock anthem for the city (and the hockey team) they love; with the undeniably catchy sing-along chorus of "Vancouver, you like that, you like that". After completing "Vancouver", which was mastered in LA by Tom Baker (NIN, Deftones, STP, Billy Talent, Wolfmother), "The VRS" vowed that from that point on; they would shoot for the furthest and brightest stars and agreed that The Beautiful British should be the rocket to take them there! Vancouver brings you The Beautiful British and The Beautiful British bring you "Vancouver"! 4,3,2,1, BLAST OFF!!!
