Seven Shades

Seven Shades is an Orillia, Ontario based band. After a year of jamming and writing the boys found their sound and began to take things seriously.Now with a complete line-up the band has put the foot to the floor. They are currently writing for their first independant record. Seven Shades has a signature rock sound that derives from a group of similar but yet different influences. Dustin comes from a strong rock background being influenced significantly by the bands Alterbridge, Shinedown, Sevendust and Submersed. His influences as a vocalist and songwriter are Myles Kennedy, Brandon Boyd, James Michael, Brent Smith and many more. Ryan comes a more rock background being influenced by bands such as Submersed, Alterbridge and Beta Wolf. His influences as a guitarist include Zakk Wylde, Mark Tremonti, and Eric Friedman. Gavin has an edgier/Blues style being influenced by heavy rock acts Nickelback, Sevendust and Godsmack. As a guitarist he idolizes guitarist such as Zakk Wylde, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray-Vaughan and John Mayer. Graydon is the metal-head of the group idolizing bands such as Megadeth, Metallica, Tool and Shadows Fall. His biggest influences as a drummer are Lars Ulrich, Chris Adler, Danny Carrey and Jason Bittner. Andy comes from a mixed musical background, finding inspiration in various artists from Jack Johnson, Metallica, Bob Marley, to Drake. Inspired by his father's rock n roll at the age of 5, his music vocabulary grew through elementary. Influences as a bassist for Andy are Geddy Lee, Sting, Brian Marshall, and Arif Mirabdolbaghi
