Mouthful Of Daisy was born in the Spring of 2005 with the merging of four unique musical talents. While the band may seem like the usual four-piece, MOD is anything but. The combination of catchy guitar riffs, smooth bass lines, relentless driving beats, and powerful female vocals gives Mouthful Of Daisy its distinctive, alternative sound.
In the winter of 2005, Mouthful Of Daisy took that sound into the studio to record its first EP "Zero". Unsurprisingly, "Zero" was well received and MOD hit the stages of the local music scene, sharing its music with an ever increasing fan base. Energized by the success of their EP, Mouthful Of Daisy returned to the studio in 2007 to record its first, self-produced, full length album, "1st Place Winner". As predicted, "1st Place Winner" solidified MOD's place in the alternative music scene.
Over the next few years, Mouthful Of Daisy continued to share its music through radio plays and live performances in local clubs and festivals. However, 2010 proved that MOD’s fusion of alternative rock and melodic riffs just could not be contained by the local music scene. Anthony Santos, producer and vice president of Chamberlain Records, heard the band and made an offer Mouthful Of Daisy just could not refuse.
So, in the Spring of 2011, MOD travelled to Westfall Recording Co. in New York to record its second full length album. Surrounded by the city that never sleeps and vitalized by a new sense of inspiration, “Twice Renewed” came to fruition. Released on March 2, 2012, “Twice Renewed” has established Mouthful Of Daisy as a band refreshingly unique in its musical approach.
Unfortunately, shortly after their return from New York, band politics necessitated a rearrangement of band membership.
In April 2012, a new lead vocalist added yet another layer of distinction, blending truly artist melodies with Mouthful of Daisy’s alternative rock sound. It wasn’t long before a second guitarist join the band and they all traveled down to Killingsworth Recording Co. in Los Angeles to record the soon to be release EP, "Nomads’ Nation".
