Yes, it’s true, we’re twins! – Courtney & Stephanie.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, we’ve been actively performing and touring for ten years. We released our full length CD ‘Familiar Feeling’ in 2007 (produced by Tom Mckillip). The release of our album (all 11 songs penned by us), created some music milestones for us! It was the first time we heard our songs on country radio, ‘Dark Dirty Dusty Hallways’ and ‘It’s Gonna Be OK’, and after making our first appearance at the CCMA festival in 2008 at the Songwriter’s Showcase, we landed ourselves a one song publishing deal with OLE Publishing for our ballad ‘Fairytales’. We’re proud to say we’ve received four BCCMA award nominations in 2008 and 2009 and have performed at the award shows and events surrounding it several times.
If you really want to understand who we are, it’s all in our songs. We write from true experience, our heartaches, our disappointments, our up’s and our down’s. Chances are if we know you, don’t be surprised if your story ends up in one of our songs.
In 2009 we began to embark on a new venture for us – co-writing. Now, we’ve written with the likes of Willie Mack, Jessie Farrell, The Higgins and One More Girl. We are really enjoying the experience and will continue to keep writing these soon-to-be-heard hits!
We’ve shared the stage with artists such as Randy Bachman, Bill Henderson, Jessie Farrell, Aaron Pritchett, Ian Tyson, Lisa Brokop and Victoria Banks to name a few. In September of 2009 we were honoured to be the opening act for CCMA Hall of Famer’s, Prairie Oyster. Over the span of our career we’ve played festivals such as Mountain Fest, Golden Spike Days, Pioneer Festival, CCMA, BCCMA, Art Spring and more. With the success of our first two singles and Country radio on our side, we’re looking forward to releasing a new original song off our recently completed EP (self titled) in the summer of 2010.
