Feeding Erik

What is Feeding Erik? It's blood, sweat, and tears. It's common ground between two brothers who never really knew each other until they connected over the thing they both loved most… music. It's a friendship, and most importantly it's a partnership. Originally formed in the fall of ‘07 Feeding Erik has had some major line up changes in the past year with many different musicians going in and out of the band. However, the band has always been held together by founding member Jordan Thipthorpe *Vocals/ Guitar*. Having to make the tough decision to replace all other members repeatedly, Feeding Erik has at last got the drummers seat filled with none other then Jordans younger sibling Jared Thipthorpe. Even though the members of the group consist of brothers, each person has brought their own ideas in from all around their different musical influences and started to combine the ideas together to form songs being set to fit into the basic setting of a new rock n roll that is taking the world by storm. Using a strong sense of melodic and lyrical hooks to support their up and coming music and songs, Feeding Erik is a band that is a bit of a relaxation and ear candy compared to the metal bands that are coming out of their hometown of Port Coquitlam. At this point in the bands early career; song writing consumes the band's main focus, songs in the more Alternative/ Rock/ Indie influences, yet with lyrics ranging from everything between the usual ‘Boy Falls in Love with Girl’ pop story to more darker lyrics such as songs in which there are stinging lyrical stories about not wanting to let go of what holds you down and to dark lyrics about lying to those who love you. Passion and a big dream to be noticed is what drives this band forever onward, but don't get the band wrong, they are very down to earth guys that at the end of the day just love to write good tunes and live for the music that they play.
