We can't describe the displeasure and anger that this night brought upon us. I was threatened, with force, with expulsion not once but twice by the bouncers. We had a fan who was already inside the venue come outside to give another fan his ticket and have them physically assaulted over the coat check issue. Having no sound check is ridiculous. You'd think if a public speaker who is using one mic needs a sound check then a 5-piece band with 6+ separate audio channels would need one as well. Especially if the majority of the equipment has been messed around with by 7-8 previous bands. The sound levels for the synth were being consistently changed during the entire set. There were times where the synth was non existent and there were times when there was nothitng but synth. This is utterly ridiculous! I'm not even getting into the "show is based on talent not tickets sales- but you have sell 30 tickets." That sounds exactly like its based on ticket sales. This is a prime example of why quality Canadian music is never heard, especially from Toronto. We've played with good Toronto/GTA bands, they are out there! And no these musicians are not all bands, we've seen folk artists, hip hop artists, and musicians from all kinds of genres that blew our mind with skill and musicality.
No kidding. Sound guy sucked.
