Whats really disapointing is that either the judges chose FDE due to friendship and/or the fact that people are saying they won because of this. Whats done is done. Either way the system has been corrupt and this subject should be laid to rest for there is no point in pointing fingers like immature children. Congrats to Fare Day Effect for winning, everybody else, better luck at your next show!

I saw Fare Day Effect guys feed the judge cookies. I mean they were not those crappy cookies from 7-11, but the nice ones from Subway.

hey This is Marc, I play drums in Fare Day Effect. Im just writing this to clear a couple things up. First, we did in fact sell >30 tickets and therefore qualified for placement, and also played a later set time because I was at work until 10:30. We are friendly with the Supernova staff, but rest assured that had nothing to do with the judging, especially considering the one who made the call was a dungeon employee. Any band should try and stay positive and friendly with all its peers, whether that be other bands, fans, promoters, or venue staff. This simply keeps a good name and reputation for whatever band you are in. We have played and won 1st at shows where the people running/judging it are complete strangers to us. Every band, whatever genre should not harp on each other for winning/losing etc. The music scene/industry is already filled with douchebags; lets not make it worse. yeah thats pretty true and even if you arent happy about it what can you do about it, nothing, so saying it isnt fair doesnt do anything for you so you might as well just play some more shows and try again.

well i have to say that it sucks to lose but you have to admit that even if you're calm and cool about it, it does seem kinda fishy about the relationship between the band and supernova.

Well guys to be honest, if supernova is such a scam then why is it a crowd you associate with? Are you a scam too? Of course not.You need to get over it. There's nothing wrong with Fare Day Effect, and they deserve that win just as much as anyone else or more. You're just a little upset because you didn't win it and honestly, it makes you look really bad, and really immature.
