Darker The Sky

...Brighter The Star
Robin Younge, vocalist & guitarist of Darker The Sky, could tell you all about the darkness and the light of life. A troubled childhood forced Robin to leave home and be on his own at a very young age. While living in government housing for his teenage years, he discovered the power and beauty of music trough Tom Waits.  Shortly thereafter he was inspired and began discovering his own songwriting abilities at the age of 14. Years passed... And in late 2006, when drummer Chris Warunki discovered Robin's captivating demo of A SONG CALLED SPACE; the seed that eventually became Darker The Sky was planted. Upon contacting Robin, they soon realized that they had a lot in common, not only geographically (living only?minutes apart from each other) but artistically and musically as well. Naturally, a friendship and musical partnership?began. After two years of growth and collaboration, including a few band name and member changes, Robin and?Chris decided on the moniker Darker The Sky; from the optimistic phrase "darker the sky, brighter the star" Sometime in 2009: The band was completed by Jason Adams joining on guitar and Joseph Henderson McCance on bass. Currently Darker The?Sky are claiming 2010 as their year by turning heads and gaining fans with their live performances, 5 song EP,?and their online presence including facebook, myspace, sonicbids, reverbnation, twitter and their own stunning official site; created by visual artist Troy Graham. This visceral musical monolith, described as having the universal beauty of Jeff Buckley,?the raw power of Nirvana, and the epic grandeur of U2 and is seeking interested record labels, publishing companies, booking agencies,?and management to join them in their journey to superstardom. ~THE SKY IS THE LIMIT~
