Dali Van Gogh

Winners of the Nova Scotia leg of the 2011 Rogers Battle Of The Bands presented by Supernova.com (advancing to the National Finals in March where they placed 3rd), and set at the top of the Reverbnation Rock Charts for Halifax Nova Scotia for 28 straight weeks, Dali Van Gogh have been on the path to success since before even entering the regular gig circuit.

Founded by lead guitarist Isaac Kent under a different name in Fall of 2008, Dali Van Gogh began making headlines in April 2010 when singer Marcel McNeil, widely considered one of the best vocalists east of Toronto, joined the band. While still in studio in the summer of 2010, working on what would be their debut release (“Verbal Warning”), Dali Van Gogh was contacted by 272 Records out of Hollywood California to be part of the Label's compilation album Kill City Vol. 27. Submitting their song “The Demon” to be part of a multi-national release featuring songs from what the label considered the best metal/Hard Rock bands from around the globe including Germany, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, France, and the United States. After completing Verbal Warning, Dali Van Gogh hit the local circuit in support of their November 2010 release, playing various venues across Atlantic Canada. The band continued promoting their New CD for the better part of a year before beginning work on their next album. Receiving radio play as far from home as London England, Guadalajara Mexico, The Philippians, and Norway, the band released the EP “Mask Identity” in April of 2012, with a major radio campaign involving more then 300 radio stations across the United States.

Dali Van Gogh was featured in the debut issue of Rock Wired Magazine, a publication in New Mexico, in May of 2012, with lead guitarist Isaac Kent named one of “The 25 Guitarists You've Gotta Know” in independent music world wide in the October edition of the Magazine.

The band has been called “a portrait of Rock N Roll”, and their song “The Demon” as been called a “Heavy Metal Masterpiece” by Canadian and International Radio.

Most recently, the band has released their new Record “Wild Blue City”, with the title track debuting on Canadian radio September 22nd. Internationally, the band has released the single in an expanded radio campaign featuring more then 500 stations across North America, with many more world wide, including having the “Wild Blue City” help launch the Rockwired Mix Tape Radio Show in the United States, and Skunk Radio in London, England. They will be releasing their second single, “Understand”, in November of 2012.

The band is currently planning extensive touring throughout Eastern Canada and The United States, and is expected to do so in 2013/14.
