Cole Grifter's debut album, recorded at Infiniti Studio in Victoria BC, by renowned producer Adam Sutherland (Armchair Cynics, Acres of Lions, Maurice, Theset)has gained national attention. The band has managed this through hard work and the amazing support of fans and like minded artists. The album features guest performances from Lea Kirstein on cello and viola, Dallas Budd (Naked Ear, Velvet) on guitar, Adam Sutherland on guitar and drums, and Sachika Kosky on vocals.
Their album release was supported by the release of their music video for Habit, which can be seen at www.colegrifter.com Directed by Christopher Ruffell of Aclara Promotions, this no budget video was called "very impressive" by Juno-winning Producer, Mark Makoway.
This summer will be highlighted with the release of a music video for “The Grifter” by Green Couch Productions, Directed by Jonathan Krauth (Armchair Cynics, Papa Roach, Hey Ocean!. Never slowing down, The Grifter video release will be quickly followed up with a music video for Kissing Frogs by Shoepp Films/ Lighthead Productions. The upcoming video features the Pink Sugar models and the nation's best custom motorcycles from Freakshow Choppers.
Because of their non-stop attitude and impressive accomplishments, Cole Grifter has recently been nominated as Vancouver Island Music Award's Group of the Year. So keep your eye out for these new Canadian rockers that promise to be the hardest working - and hardest playing- independant rock band.
