city powered radio as a name came about on a drunken summers night when we dident have an extention chord we wanted to listen to the radio outside so we jimmied the case on the telephone pole in the neighboring parking lot and plugged the radio into that, then we proceeded to laugh about how it was a "city powered radio" the band started back in 2004 playing indie songs in shawns basement our first show was in 2005 at showplace theatre and the loveof playing gigs began. we still have the same line up ghetto steve on drums shawn the dirt (std) on bass and stigz on guitar and vox. the only reason we play music is because we love it! its not about money or making it big or sounding like some other band its simply the love of getting on stage and making a hell of alot of noise and having people out there who are actually enjoying it
