Biography

Caught Crimson- BAND BIOPowerhouse vocal duo “Caught Crimson” is an electronic, pop-rock band, with a unique style that is soulful, edgy and enveloping, yet energized. Co-writers Adrianna Leon and Murray Yates co-front the band, a partnership that began in Los Angeles in 2003. The duo were introduced through singer, Josh Kelly, and other mutual friends at Hollywood Records, to whom Yates was signed at the time as the lead singer of Forty Foot Echo, while they were attending a NAMM conference. Leon, who had just begun playing “Brook Lynn Ashton” on General Hospital and had multiple TV music credits to her name, was interested in some collaborative writing for her project. When Yates returned from his tour the two got together and co-wrote “Hide”. While recording Caught Crimson’s original five song demo they realized that adding a second vocal line for Yates was too natural to ignore. Adrianna brought Murray on as her co-front and the duo was born. Upon completing the demo, the two teamed up with guitarist Terry Corso (Alien Ant Farm), bassist Kevin Chown (Uncle Cracker), and drummer Rob Kurzrweiter (Forty Foot Echo) and joined recording engineer C.J. Eiriksson (Hoobastank, Live, U2) at Fourth Street Studios to track their first five song, self titled album. The project then lay dormant, as Leon and Yates focused on other aspects of their careers until 2011, when they made contact and decided it was time to revisit their earlier efforts. The songs were re-recorded and re-produced by Yates at his own studio in Vancouver, BC, Echoman Records, and in 2012 the exciting project “Caught Crimson” was finally released.
