Biography

Out of a dark time in there lives, 3 musicians with something to prove, attempt to build a sound that can be heard through the distorted and unvarying tone that is everyday life. There premise is to break free from conformity and to adopt a unique pitch and intensity. Using strategically placed dynamics accompanied by a heart-pounding rhythm, rich melodies, and words from a weathered soul, they will achieve said goal. Although battling demons, defeat was not an option. Ultimately discovering that clarity would bring them hope, they made haste to a higher plane of understanding. Eventually finding comfort in a place where they can’t be touched. Break Of Distortion formed in Belleville Ontario, under the name confined spaces playing shows for supernova and opening for other bands who strolled through. After months of playing the same city, this band knew that its potential was so much more. Having band complications with another member, they knew that this was the time to detach from the four piece and to start a life of music as a powerful three piece band under the name Break of Distortion. Soon moving to London their journey has taken them from opening for such bands as Attack in Black, Hail the Villain, Farewell to Freeway, Ill Scarlett, I Hate Sally, These Silhouettes as well as appearing at various bars around London and surrounding area to being a featured band on SUPERNOVA'S showcase line ups.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our songs, we were also wondering how to get on the Indie Pulse? We signed up for it, but just wondering when we would know for sure. We've been working really hard on writing new songs and keeping them as tight as possible since the demo you listened to which was recorded about a year ago now, we would love to have an opportunity to play our new material live and to have our songs evaluated by the music industry. So if you have any advice you could help us with in regards to that it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!!
