bluespoon

bluespoon began its life in 2005. Although both from Australia, Steve and Shaun met while working in a pub in London (UK). Both playing solo gigs around town, the pair decided to combine their talents and create the acoustic duo: Bluespoon. Their similar styles clicked immediately and reflected in their newer songs. They began building a solid fan base establishing themselves as a regular house band for St. Christopher’s Inns and playing venues around London. Traveling to the US and Canada in 2006 the duo played gigs all over before heading back to Australia, including a headlining spot at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Back home the boys began playing headline gigs at various music venues around Australia including the Wintergarden Room and The Peninsula Lounge in Melbourne. With plans to expand their dynamic duo the boys moved back overseas in 2008 settling in Toronto, Canada. Finally completing their band, drummer Andrew and base player Aaron brought their own elements to the band’s popular sound. Now able to fully develop their music the band’s latest songs introduce a new dimension to bluespoon which people have already described as fantastic. “It’s that acoustic, rock-y, pubs, pints, mates, and 4am sing-along kind of music…” “It's the kind of music that makes you feel like home – comfortable, welcoming and familiar...” “Onstage these guys absolutely captivate their audience with the passion and energy they pack into each set...” “These guys play music that just makes you feel good…" With an acoustic duo EP of Bluespoon recorded in 2005 the boys are currently working on their new full band EP to be released later in 2009.
