Waking Suburbia was first formed under the name "Yours Truly" in 2009 with the members Saul Mendoza, Michael Bray, Jason Wetmore and Andrew Parmelee. Since then, the band has undergone minor and major adjustments their mission to become the next biggest thing to hit modern day music. They had quickly released their first EP; "From the Caves of Suburbia" in 2010. However, in 2011, the band had a quick change in musical direction. To suit their new Hard-Rock, Pop-punk style, they needed to make a major roster adjustment. Devon Swords took Michael Bray's position as lead guitar and backup vocals. Now, the band consists of Saul Mendoza belting it on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Andrew Parmelee on boomin' bass, Jason Wetmore banging on the drums, and of course, Devon Swords shredding lead guitar as well as helping Andrew out with those backup vocals.
The band (in one form or another) has had plenty experience ranging from big outdoor stages to small pubs to charity events.
