The Me Monster

::::::::::::::::::::::::::THE ME MONSTER::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This band’s future is so bright you’re going to need ray bans. 6 members from Kenora, ON joined forces in October 2008 and have been electro-rockin ever since. January 2009 brought the band’s first radio add, when CBC debuted “Silly Girl” across the airwaves. In July 2009, they played both Harbourfest in Kenora, ON and The Fort Frances Folk Fest in Fort Frances, ON where they were quoted as one of the “bigger bands” rocking the house. With animated lyrics like “My lips are endorphins” and “You’ve got my heart like a meth fiend” The Me Monster will prove to capture the hearts of both blooming and developed folks alike. The song writing process can be described as an epic explanation of true events, and each song has an individual event that the dynamic lyrics narrate. The band feels being diversely talented is what distinguishes them within their genre. Most recently, The Me Monster signed a management deal with Rutherford Production Group, and has received grants and funding totaling more than $4500. The debut album is the bands’ grown up way of proving they are ready for the next step. It drops in early September 2009, and a 5-date Eastern Canada CD release tour will take place following the release.
