Selfless has evolved from a long road of friend connections, ads, and accidental meetings. In 2004 Kip (drums) and Jason (guitar) were introduced through another potential band that eventually faded away. Right from the first jam session things clicked. Approximately 6 months after the previous band came to a halt Kip and Jason hookep up just to jam and get some energy out. This jam session began with jamming out some Godsmack and then followed by playing some old originals in which turned into writing new originals. This small jam session turned into a weekly writing session. After writing for a couple years with many breaks in between Kip and Jason thought it was time to make Selfless complete. We held mulitple auditions for bass players in which nobody really fit the Selfless profile. Mike Orr (Bass) was the next add to the project. Mike and Kip were long lost friends in which ran into each other accidentally at a local gas station approximately a week after our last audition. This conversation turned into a jam session a week later in which was an audition in our minds. Mike ripped it up and was a very easy add to the band. Vocals was the last spot to fill. We posted ads on the local music websites and of course the popular myspace. After multiple posts and replies we took on 4 auditions until Anthony Faflik came out. Right from the first note we were satisfied. After an hour of jamming and coming up with melodies to our originals we were more than impressed with Anthony's capabilities. Anthony was asked to join the band 2 weeks later. Selfless was no longer selfless, it was complete!
