Scrap Metal Sun

The members of Scrap Metal Sun have been playing music together on local stages around Vancouver over the past six years. Sol, Carley, Matt, Alanna, and John know how to write and arrange a song, however, Scrap Metal Suns music is primarily based around the guitar and vocal styling of Sol Dominelli. They have many songs each with their own unique, energetic and infectious character. The music is primarily alternative rock with folk influences. The songwriting captures deep emotions with soaring melodies that tap the creative heart. Scrap Metal Sun has been successful in appealing to a broad audience with music which can relate to many. Each member of the band has a personal investment in music, emotionally and otherwise. Members are perusing courses in music, entertainment management, and with the creation of Scrap Metal Studios they are building a strong foundation to fulfill their dream of becoming successful touring musicians. Their love for the stage and enthusiasm for the Vancouver music community will no doubt aid in their success. As the project has been in the works for years , they were able to hand pick the songs for their debut concept album titled “Dr. Scrap and the Scrap Metal Sun”. They plan to release their debut album this year (2011) which has been almost exclusively recorded at Scrap Metal Studios. One of the most beneficial assets the group brought to life is Scrap Metal Studios, the endless hours and energy not to mention the monetary factors which have gone into making the studio successful has by far paid off and will continue to do so.
