Sean McKay is an Entertainment Marketing, Event Management and Talent Buying Professional with over fifteen years industry experience.
Sean’s skill set involves creative designer, accomplished musician and producer with an exceptional set of well-rounded skills and making him a strong team leader.
Sean is dedicated to entertainment marketing and producing special events through his company SPM MUSIC.
Special projects or events of significant mention include producing the 2010 Vancouver Music Industry Award Gala And Charity Golf Tournament; this two-day event for high profile guests in the Music Industry generated over $50,000 toward supporting the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach and Music BC.
In 2007 Sean joined forces with John Donnelly and as played an integral role in several high profile and large scale events including the Virgin Festival, 2009 JUNO Festival , The WestJet Street Party and the Award winning Opening & Closing Ceremonies for the 2009 World Police and Fire Games to which Sean composed the production's musical score.
Other recent accomplishments have focused on the 2010 Olympic games, where Sean fulfilled several responsibilities ranging from conceptual design and talent booking, integral building layouts and construction renderings, project management on three Olympic sites and finally as the General Manager of Live at LiveCity Downtown for what was one of the biggest parties the city has ever seen!
Sean is also an accomplished musician and music producer and as worked with many different music projects over his career have included his own music under the name Sound Pressure Manifest (SPM), as well as collaborating with artists such as Simon Collins (son of Phil Collins), Former KMFDM Guitarist SCHULZ and EMI Recording Artists Econoline Crush, all who have helped develop his stellar reputation as a well-rounded individual and positive contributor in today's ever changing face of the music and event industry.
SPM MUSIC is currently working as a freelance Event Producer and Marketing Consultant and was recently hired as the Marketing Director for the Chop Shop Franchise.
Sean is also representing talent on a management level having recently connected with Allen Moy of Divine Industries ( 54 40 , Barney Bentall,) on a new internet management company called The INNERface.com
