Biography

Vancouver Band ROCK VOODOO ~ Biography... Written By Ms.Hollywood - Tim Heller started Rock Voodoo, an Alternative, Rock, Funk, Blues energy band on June 21 2008 (first gig The Anza Club). He is a singer, songwriter and guitar player of over 100 original Rock Voodoo songs. "God of Thunder" Jamie Strachan on Drums,Rex Rekker on bass/guitar,(Mike Kopsa on Blues harp when we do Rock/Blues gigs). Much of the new material is centered on the vocals and harmonies and is a modern Rock with a 60’s-70’s driving Rock vibe to it. Rock Voodoo has played Vancouver Bars such as the Anza Club, Darby’s, Myles and Beans, The Fairview, Gringo Dave's, Vancouver Heritage Hall,Brother G's Harvest Fest and more. Supporters of local causes, they have been featured in the Jamming for Justin Benefit. The Cancer Institute Fundraiser 2010 and the Wreck Beach Preservation Societies Annual benefit concert in 2009 and 2010. Another cancer benefit Bruce Mcpherson's "Walk on the Wild" on "Spanish banks" Vancouver every May 15. Rock Voodoo was showcase on the street stages for the Made in Vancouver Festival in Yaletown during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, where a full on taste of original talent was featured for the many international guests. Rock Voodoo was well received, as the streets filled with dancing energy and ended with a standing ovation. Tim Heller Produced and recorded Rock Voodoo's album of 12 original songs called ”Never Leave it too Late” Yes there is songs of good Love "If Not For You ", "Do You Feel Like Talking" and Love gone Wrong in "Remember That Girl","How can Love be Wrong"! but also songs on "War" with "War Song", "Drugs" "You're on Drugs",why are we here with "Sleepless nights", "Racism" and Freedom with "Sparks in the Ashes". "Living the Highs and Lows in Hollywood Rock & Roll Dream" in "Sunset Blvd". Nuclear Warheads are in your back yard in "News of The Day", The stress of Life in the modern world in "Too Much" and well, the Universe is Slipping through our Fingers!! in the psychedelic ballad (Beatles meets Pink Floyd maybe) "The Universe" . RV would like to do a numbered release of the album on Vinyl. The record stores are already willing to stock it in Vancouver. Hope that happens that would be cool, the cover would look great that size and that big fat sound of Vinyl, nice. Currently producing a video for the song "Sunset Blvd", this endeavor found its roots while Tim was in Los Angeles climbing the Hollywood sign!! and other activities like The Roxy,The Whiskey and The Rainbow on the Sunset strip. Shooting scenes along Sunset Blvd. The principal photography is on 35 mm film and is now in midst of filming completion in Vancouver British Columbia Canada. An incredibly knowledgeable Rock & Roll history Fanatic! Tim,mixes all these influences in his writing, then the band Tim, Jamie Strachan, Rex Rekker kicks it into gear to create the Rock Voodoo sound! Good Times hearing this Band, they have an original spark live that comes thru whatever the style of music they play,Rock,Funk,Blues it's all Heavy in spirit ! Biography... Written By Ms.Hollywood
