My experiences as a musician have consisted of a variety of instruments, genre's and bands for most of my life and since my mom was a music teacher, there was never any lack of music education growing up. I was also a product of a small town boasting an amazing music program and arts community, Salmon Arm has nurtured lots of talent not to mention hosting it's now famous Roots and Blues festival. While attending Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops I played in several projects; I was a drummer for a punk band called Burning Story, a drummer for reggae rock band Revealer, a trumpet player in the high energy funk rock band Matadors Conquest, lead singer/guitarist of alternative rock band Sleeps With Matches and finally back on drums in a punk/jam band trio called The Cash Grabs. Highlights on my music career; playing trumpet with a eight piece party ska band called Bike at Richards On Richards before it closed down and later playing at The Commodore Ballroom with that same band, touring across Canada with The Cash Grabs as a drummer and singing/playing guitar at The Red Room for The Nearly Famous Music Festival with my old project Sleeps With Matches. I also was heavily involved with live theatre and wrote, produced and performed music for several live Shakespeare productions with Project X Theatre Company. I recently finished recording an amazing four song album with my friend Jesse Rankin which I hope reflects my live solo looper performance. I try to avoid describing my sound and putting it in a shoebox on the shelf but I would say that it is rock, blues and jazz with shades of progressive rock remaining original, but also grabbing people with the sacred hook.
