Ragtube.com, a start-up, video-share, site-managed and ran by a 25 year old University of Oklahoma graduate named George R., which promotes Independent (Indie) Artists.
At first glance Ragtube.com is like any other video-share site, but if you look a little closer you’ll notice that none of the artists are head-line names. As a matter-fact, out of the 3,500 plus artists on Ragtube.com, 99% are Indie Artists. These artists range in genre from Hip-Hop to Rock, Metal and R&B, a number of musicians playing everything from the saxophone to the keys. Some of these artists have enormous talent, while others could use more practice.
We asked George R. what makes Ragtube.com different from any other video-share site, and he responded with his business model, "Everyone deserves to be heard, regardless of their level of talent. For some of these artists, being able to have their music heard outside of their shower, garage or local environment will be the highlight of their musical career."
Given the success that Ragtube has established to date, we believe it has one of the most attractive and unique concepts around. When asked about the future of Ragtube.com, we were told that the company plans to attract over 20,000 Indie Artist over the next two years--affording them the opportunity to be heard.
