My Evening Alibi

My Evening Alibi is a rock band formed in 2011 from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The band consists of Melissa Jowett (lead vocals, keyboards), Chris Fournier (lead guitar, vocals), Zack Bryan (rhythm guitar, vocals), Adam Purchase (bass, vocals), Chris Labelle (drums, vocals). Initially, they played at venues and night clubs in the Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal areas and recorded some demos under the name of Degenerate Highway before adding Melissa Jowett and changing their name to My Evening Alibi in December 2011. The original band has been together since 2005. Their debut album Girls Cars Guitars, distributed independantly, was released through iTunes and other internet based store on Dec 05, 2010, followed by a release party at the famous El Mocambo in Toronto. The track Gonna Go Far was chosen as iTunes free Single of the Week to coincide with the digital release. Close to releasing a new single, followed by a new album, the band is busy in the studio and playing locally in Ottawa.
