To aspire to a dream is to live it, to let it infect your mind every day, to have your music coarsing through your viens. Militant was founded on these priciples. In the summer of '08 a simple jam session between guitarists Tim Izzard, Nick Attard, and initial bassist Dylan Girardin morphed into an electric mix of chemistry that set off the makings of Militant. The trio then decided to search for their musical blood brothers to fill the spots of vocals and drums. Tim coined the term "Good things come in small packages" when he brought vocalist Adrian Griffths to the table. His powerful teeth-rattling screams beacme the perfect sound to compliment the quickly evolving melodic metal of Militant. Next up for band line up, was Chris McCracken a childhood friend of Nick's, who practically walked out of the womb ready to beat the skins with unbearable passion. As the unique style of Militant evolved, featuring Tim's eccentric and bluesy solos and Nick's computer-like rhythmic accuracy a clash emerged when bassist Dylan Girardin was not hearing the music he wanted to play. The dilemma was solved when Dylan joined his current band "Two Seconds From Death" and all was well in metal land. Militant wishes Dylan and his band the best of luck, and want to thank him for the help with their first song. Militant wrote for a duration of time without a bassist, and then started to prepare for shows. Militant brought Kyle Graham into the line up for three months and played some great live shows at the London Music Hall. The band was going through difficulties and sadly had to let Kyle go, and again they wish him the best of luck and thank him for the help. Militant then decided to bring in Dan McCracken, brother of Chris to play bass. Things have been going very successfully for Militant, and they plan to bring fans some new music, and a new type of metal that can be listned to by all.
