Kilmore Place was first formed in 2006 with founding members Ryan Bacchus, Bryce Wagner, and Greg England releasing their debut EP in late 2008. On the heels of this release they have indepently built a fiercely loyal following with their live performances, boasting one of the largest and most energetic draws in Vancouver.
Never being satisfied following the crowd, Kilmore Place strives to create a landscape of sound, adding acoustics, additional percussion, and keyboards to the dynamic of a wide open guitar driven sound. They despise predictability, always engaging audience participation with an ever evolving set. Their latest effort "What Happened?" will be released June 26th and will feature many of the songs from their current setlist, including "the monkey song" and "bag it up", which were tracked and recorded at their own self built faciilty, Manic Studios.
In the last year Kilmore Place has taken their show to the road whenever they can, having the pleasure to share stages with the likes of The Dudes, Hey Ocean, Hedley, and Current Swell with numerous tours to B.C.'s interior and across Canada in the last year. Following the release of "What Happened?", they will embark once again across Canada with fellow Vancouver band This Is Franco on their Summer Classic Tour. Kilmore Place takes a do-it-yourself approach from the top down, from booking to recording to mixing.
