Jackson-X is the one and only Jackson Begley’s alter ego, an uncompromising, multi-talented young artist that strives to have his presence felt. Jackson mixes a potent alchemy of haunting melodies with a dark potion of heart pounding grooves that leads Jackson and his Sleepwalker followers to a new dimension of yearning and hunger.
Jackson hails from Oshawa, Ontario, a small city, forty miles east of Toronto. For the past 5 years Jackson has been honing his extraordinary entertaining skills as Canada’s foremost junior Elvis Impersonator, wowing crowds across Canada and NY. Beginning in January 2011, Jackson has been in the studio recording tracks for his first Sleepwalker full length CD. The songs written and produced by Jackson’s father James Begley, co-produced by Anthony Goodine and engineered by the legendary Eric Ratz showcase Jackson’s powerful vocals and his unique musical taste.
Jackson would love to bring a more intense, melodic, performance based sound to the young listener, much like the latest sounds that are being created by such bands as the Black Keys, Metric and Muse.
