This band is only five months old but it can already talk and walk! Comprised of a triad of professional animators/cartoonists, each member has been involved in the music scene for most of their so called “adult” lives in various different groups. As artists and animators we are no strangers to the amount of work, dedication and persistence required to take a project from conception to fruition. All three members are passionate and excited to do whatever it takes to reach this bands true potential. This is why Gold Stars Are For Suckers recognize how the Fox Seeds contest is an incredible opportunity to help us excel as a band and allow us to reach a greater audience both locally and worldwide. Band Members

Formed about five months ago, the three goblins that make up the Gold Stars met in a local rehearsal space for an impromptu jam session. They soon clicked and the music started to formulate and flow at a rapid pace. Each member of the group brings their own influences and style to the music created. Timothy Whore (guitar/vox) has played in numerous projects based out of Victoria ranging from blues bands to gloomy goth combos. Richard Katynski (bass) is a member of the popular local band Waltz Darling and has participated in other projects. Mo Sherwood (drums) has manned the drum stool with many acts over the years, most recently being Celtic Roots band The Town Pants. Though Gold Stars Are For Suckers is a relatively new project, we strive to keep the music fresh and vibrant through exploration and incorporation of our many different influences which includes the Ramones, the Damned, the Pixies, Joe Jackson and Justin Beiber... just to name a few. What does the future hold for the Gold Stars Are For Suckers? hmmm...good question. But be assured you'll be able to tap your foot to it.
