Beyond Colour

Beyond Colour is a hip hop duo based out of Vancouver British Columbia. The group consists of emcee Bitter Taste Bud and sound engineer Lekz beats. Individually the two have travelled different paths to reach this point. Lekz started his production career in 1998 eventually working his way up and producing instrumentals for the likes of Lenny Diko, and Jaykin. While Bitter Taste Bud after years of writing in his subterranean lair emerged form the Langfab scene under the encouraging praise of the Infleunts crew. Together the two feel and extract mental imagery from music. They take these thoughts, feelings, emotions and gradually bring them into life. Both Lekz and Bitter Taste use everything that their sensory receptors extract from their environment as a source of inspiration. Currently the duo is working on a LP entitled "Collage" which is set for release in early spring. This album features a down tempo story line and follows the path of Bitter Taste Bud during a typical Friday. Catchy storylines over jazzy melancholy instrumentals set the stage for the listener to walk in group's shoes. With a stage show that evolves rapping, beat boxing, and scratching "Beyond Colour" brings an energy that wins even the toughest of audiences over. The pair tries to stay true and incorporate as many of the hip hop elements as possible to their live performances, while up dating the sound for a fresh appearance.
